Mr. Chan represents individuals in a variety of criminal and regulatory matters, as well as internal corporate investigations. The underlying conduct at issue in his representations often involves financial markets or financial institutions. Some of his recent representations have involved allegations of fraud, insider trading, antitrust, and accounting impropriety. Mr. Chan served on a team of LSW lawyers working as the SEC-approved Independent Consultant for monoline insurer MBIA Inc. Mr. Chan has also participated in two federal criminal trials, one involving the sale of guaranteed investment contracts and the other alleging insider trading.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Chan worked as an associate at the law firm Vinson & Elkins LLP and as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. Mr. Chan joined LSW in 2003.
