Born in 1979, Mr. Jacobs, was graduated from Yale University, cum laude, in 2001, and from Columbia Law School in 2004. While at Columbia, Mr. Jacobs was an Articles Editor of the Columbia Law Review, he was awarded the Paul R. Hays Prize in Civil Procedure and the Charles Bathgate Beck Prize in Property, and he was a James Kent Scholar all three years. After graduating from law school, Mr. Jacobs served as a law clerk to the Honorable Amalya L. Kearse, United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, from 2004-05, was an associate at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP from 2005-06, and served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jed S. Rakoff, United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, from 2006-07. He is the co-author of "Seeking Restitution for the Costs of Internal Investigations," New York Law Journal (September 29, 2008). He is the author of Trademark Dilution on the Constitutional Edge, 104 Colum. L. Rev. 161 (2004). Mr. Jacobs joined LS&W in 2007.
