LSW is delighted to announce the promotion of Rachel S. Berkowitz to Counsel in recognition of her outstanding lawyering on behalf of clients and her service to the firm.
Rachel’s practice focuses on white collar defense, government investigations, and complex civil matters. She has represented clients at every stage of criminal proceedings, from investigations to pre-indictment advocacy, and through trial to verdict. Rachel also has an active civil practice and a particular interest in art law, and has served on the Art Law Committee of the Bar Association of the City of New York.
Before simultaneously earning her law degree at Duke University School of Law and her master’s degree in Art History from Duke University, Rachel graduated with distinction in Art History from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the firm, Rachel clerked for the Honorable Rosemary Barkett on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and then for the Honorable Richard J. Sullivan on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
Rachel is currently a member of the Ethics Committee of the Bar Association of the City of New York, and was recognized by Best Lawyers in America as “One to Watch” in the field of Criminal Defense: White Collar for 2021.
