Ethical Considerations for Corporate Investigations — CLE Webinar with the NYC Bar Association
For the past two decades Lankler Siffert & Wohl LLP has organized and chaired this annual event with the New York City Bar Association. The format of Ethical Considerations for Corporate Investigations: Views from All Sides brings together white-collar defense lawyers, prosecutors and ethics experts to discuss cutting-edge strategic and ethical issues arising in investigations and prosecutions of corporations and/or their constituents.
On September 25, 2024, LSW partner Jillian B. Berman chaired a lively panel discussion covering issues including:
- A lawyer’s duties to a prospective client
- The ethics of witness preparation
- Ethical considerations for attorney whistleblowers
- A lawyer’s obligations when a client provides false or incomplete testimony
- Confidentiality and ethical implications when an attorney wishes to post to a listserv, social media or law firm website.
This year’s distinguished faculty of practitioners, prosecutors and academicians were
